The Coastal Quilters Guild has an annual Challenge. This year the theme was "Musical Memories - A Song From My High School Years." 21 of the unique mini-quilts are on display for a limited time in the learning center at Grant House Sewing Machines. On display are First Prize winner Linda Estrada's "To Sir With Love" and Patti Hunter's "Yellow Submarine." The Coastal Quilters Guild has an annual Challenge. This year the theme was "Musical Memories - A Song From My High School Years."
Other winners this year were Diana Hamilton's "Tie A Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Ole Oak Tree" and Julie Mock's "R-E-S-P-E-C-T." Winners were selected by secret ballot by guild members.
Coastlines, the Coastal Quilters newsletter, celebrates the participants this way: "This year’s entries were absolutely outstanding, as wonderful and varied as their songs and quilters. We hope you enjoyed the theme, and that it brought back great memories."
