Class Policies
Before signing up for a class or event, please check your schedule and read our class policy carefully. To be fair to our teachers and presenters, as well as, other students we must remain firm on our registration and cancellation policies. By registering for a class or event premises, you consent to such recording media and its related release, publication, and its use for future purposes.
Registration
You can register for a class on our website at havefunsewing.com or in person at Grant House Sewing Center, 336 East Cota Street, Santa Barbara CA 93101. Classes are available for registration on a first come first serve basis.
Payment
Class fees are due when you sign up for a class. We will not reserve your spot without full payment for all classes except summer camps. You can sign up for classes in person, by phone, mail or online. We accept Visa, Mastercard, paypal, Synchrony Sewing, and other cards, cash, and checks.
Class Size
There is a minimum of four students in all classes and a maximum of 12 students depending on the class, If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, registered students will receive a full refund or credit for another class, whichever is preferred.
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend a class and need to cancel, we require 7 days advance notice. Cancellations received with a fewer than 7 days notice or no-shows will NOT be refunded nor will we be able to offer credit towards another class. This is ensures the teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations.
There are no refunds on class fee for "Special Event" teachers/classes within 30 days of class date unless we can fill your spot with another person. No Exceptions!
We require a minimum of 4 students per class and once in a while if we don't get enough sign-ups for a class we will need to cancel the class. So sign-up with a friend! If we must cancel a class we will contact you two days before class and you will receive a full refund or credit for another class, which ever is preferred.

Supply list/Class Supplies
Class participants are asked to gather supplies prior to class to ensure all participants have a full benefit of class time. It is the responsibility of the customer to download the supply list for any class or event they are registered for. Supply lists can be found online on the sign up page for class.
A 10% discount is 0ffered at Grant House Sewing Machines on those items listed for the class. The customer must be enrolled to receive the discount. Please contact us if you have any questions about a class or supply list.
Class Time
Please arrive early so class can begin on time. Class participants are asked to turn off cell phones or place them in vibrate mode. If a call is necessary, please leave the room to complete call. Please do not wear perfume or cologne to class due to allergies of others.
Class Participants
Except for children's classes, students must be at least 16 years old. Students between the ages of 10-15 years old may attend class with a parent or an adult authorized to supervise the young person. A waiver of liability must be signed.
As a participant of a sewing class or event at Grant House Sewing Center, I release and hold harmless Grant House Sewing Center and it's instructors from any and all damages and liability, which I (or my child) may incur from participation in the class. I acknowledge that I agree to the release with full knowledge of the activity I acknowledge that I am responsible for the tools and machines I use during my class. All items at my station should be accounted for prior to and after my class. My payment and participation in class affirm to this waiver.

Photographic Release
I grant to Grant House Sewing Center and it's representative employees the right to take photographs of myself and/or my child in connection with sewing class. I authorize Grant HOuse Sewing Center, its assignees and transferees to copyright, use, and publish any photography without mention of the child's name in print or/and electronically. I agree that Grant House Sewing Machines may use such photography of me/my child for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicly, illustration, advertising, and web content. I have read and understand above.
