Don't be afraid of zippers! In this in-person class, you will learn to install 4 perfect zippers.
You'll learn to install 4 different styles of zippers, and their applications to your garments:
1. Hand picked centered standard zipper
2. Lapped standard zipper
3. Fly front zipper
4. Machine invisible zipper
Supplies, available at Grant House Sewing Center:
Standard sewing machine (capable of straight stitch and blind hem stitch; variable stitch length/width; variable needle positions)
Presser feet: Standard/zig-zag; invisible zipper foot; blind hem foot; narrow edge foot and/or 1/4" seam foot are helpful
Hand sewing supplies
Fabric for samples, for example 2 fat quarters
3 - 7" standard zippers, 1 - 7" invisible zipper
1 fat quarter Pellon Easy Knit fusible interfacing
Bias tape
Pins
