Morning Session: Knitty Gritty: Understanding the Basics of Knits
In this session, we'll explore the world of knits, from their unique properties to the different types of knit fabrics available. You'll learn how to choose the right knit fabric for your project and how to fit knit patterns for the perfect fit.
Afternoon Session: Sewing Knit Fabrics with Confidence
This session will teach you how to sew knit fabrics on your standard sewing machine, including the best stitches, needles, and threads to use. We'll also cover tips for sewing band collars and demonstrate how to use a serger and coverstitch machine.

Instructor Bio: | Elizabeth Vana Bryant is a Palmer/Pletsch Certified Fitting Instructor. She teaches in-person classes in Southern California, and virtual classes internationally through the magic of Zoom. She has been sewing for over 50 years, and has specialized in garment fitting and couture construction for over two decades. She is the founding leader of the American Sewing Guild Los Angeles Chapter's Couture Group. |
