Holiday Placemats with Ruby

These easy placemats with self-mitered corners are ideal for your holiday table. Materials and equipment:

Sewing machine in good working order, ours or yours.

Fabrics for front and back of placemat: 1 yard of each makes a set of four, 1/2 yard for 2.

Matching thread

Interfacing or low-loft batting, see store samples.

Optional:

Chalk, fabric pencils or pens

Rotary cutter and grid ruler

1/4" seam presser foot

Walking foot may be helpful for thicker batting
