Master Your Serger with Matt

Learn the basics on your serger, or brush up on old skills. You will make samples of the three basic stitches, and explore decorative threads while making napkins for any holiday or formal occasion. Our serger expert Matt will take the fear out of threading and using your serger, and show you how to make special stitching effects by making basic adjustments. See sample in store.
Materials and Equipment:
Four or five-thread serger in good working order
Sharp scissors
Four cones of good quality serger thread such as Maxi-Lock
Decorative threads of your choice, including machine embroidery thread, textured nylon, and metallics. Limited options available in class, more options available for purchase.
For Napkins:
1/4 yard each for front and back, quilting cotton or other light to medium weight fabric
